The Project Vienna – A Design Strategy aims to pool innovative design concepts for the urban fabric of Vienna. Vienna can no longer be content to invoke its long tradition as a city of classical modernism, but must develop fresh design strategies for the future so as to make full use of the city’s creative potential. The point is to provide a fresh input of unusual ideas and visions so as to position Vienna internationally as a creative location. The focus is not on established and proven ideas, but on the unexpected, the innovative and experimental, the uncompromising visionary.
